  ## Major Product Updates

  * **Canvas:** With [Canvas](/canvas), you can use natural-language prompts to create persistent, refreshable tabular reports that combine Vantage cost data, business metrics, calculations, comparisons, and custom formatting without building a dashboard or spreadsheet from scratch.
  * **Datadog MCP Connector for the FinOps Agent:** The [FinOps Agent](/vantage_finops_agent) now supports [MCP Connectors](/vantage_finops_agent#mcp-connectors), starting with the [Datadog MCP Connector](/datadog_agent). Connect your Datadog organizations to join live Datadog telemetry—metrics, logs, monitors, dashboards, APM, and events—with your Vantage cost data in a single conversation to investigate anomalies, validate rightsizing, and correlate cost with performance, available in the console, Slack, and [Canvas](/canvas).
  * **Temporal Cloud Billing API integration:** The [Temporal Cloud](/connecting_temporal) integration now ingests cost and usage data directly from Temporal's Cloud Billing API, using contracted costs, namespace-level attribution, and any credits, discounts, or adjustments from Temporal's billing report instead of estimating costs from manually configured rates. Existing customers can [migrate from the legacy Usage API estimate model](/connecting_temporal#migrate-to-cloud-billing-data).
  * **Post-transform aggregate billing rules:** [SQL billing rules](/sql_billing_rules#monthly-insert-aggregate-rules) now support post-transform **Monthly Insert** rules that calculate a value from existing monthly cost rows—using aggregate functions such as `SUM()` and conditional `CASE WHEN` logic—and insert a new monthly cost row for charges like management fees, surcharges, or tiered support. These rules run after all other [billing rule stages](/partners#billing-rule-execution-order), so they operate on the final transformed costs.

  ## Product Updates and Improvements

  This month, we made a number of improvements and updates to enhance the Vantage experience:

  * **Provider integrations:**
    * **MongoDB Atlas project names as tags:** MongoDB Atlas Cost Reports now include a `mongo:group_name` provider tag from Atlas invoice project names, making it easier to filter and group costs by the human-readable project name. See [MongoDB Atlas reporting dimensions](/connecting_mongodb-atlas#mongodb-atlas-reporting-dimensions).
    * **Temporal Cloud API key validation:** The [Temporal Cloud](/connecting_temporal) integration now validates API keys before saving the integration. Invalid, expired, or insufficient-role keys display a form error.
    * **Custom Provider integration status:** The Integrations page now reflects [Custom Provider](/connecting_custom_providers) connections more precisely, showing a Custom Provider as connected only when a Custom Provider cost integration exists. [Business Metric](/per_unit_costs) CSV uploads are tracked independently and no longer affect Custom Provider status.
  * **Cost Reports:**
    * **Account starts-with and ends-with filters:** [Cost Report filters](/cost_reports#filter-cost-reports) using **starts with** or **ends with** now match friendly account names, consistent with **contains** filters.
    * **Drilldown filter preservation:** [Cost Report drilldown](/cost_reports#drill-down-in-costs-table) no longer removes existing report filters when a selected row cannot be converted into an additional filter.
    * **Blank Virtual Tag drilldowns:** [Cost Report drilldowns](/cost_reports#drill-down-in-costs-table) now match grouped **Not tagged** Virtual Tag rows more accurately when a tag key exists with a blank value.
    * **Allocated Virtual Tag report notifications:** Scheduled [Cost Report notifications](/report_notifications#set-up-cost-report-notifications) now include allocated Virtual Tag costs when determining whether a report has data, so reports based on allocated tags or Business Metrics send as expected.
    * **Report grouping menu:** The [Cost Report grouping menu](/cost_reports#configure-report-groups) now lists tags alphabetically and shows the first 100, with search to quickly find additional tags, making it easier to scan and select group-by tags on accounts with many tags.
    * **Preferred Tags in the grouping menu:** The [Cost Report grouping menu](/cost_reports#configure-report-groups) now sorts [Preferred Tags](/tagging#preferred-tags) to the top of the tag list.
    * **Saved Filter VQL display:** The **View as VQL** panel now shows the saved filter's VQL on the [Saved Filters](/saved_filters) settings page.
  * **Dashboards:**
    * **Canvas dashboard widgets:** You can now add a [Canvas](/canvas) to a [Dashboard](/dashboards) as a widget, alongside Cost Reports and other report types.
    * **Dashboard PDF export labels:** [Dashboard PDF exports](/dashboards#export-dashboards) no longer clip chart labels.
  * **Cost Recommendations:**
    * **Lambda rightsizing utilization metrics:** [AWS Lambda rightsizing recommendations](/cost_recommendations#aws-recommendations) now include additional utilization metrics from AWS Compute Optimizer, such as duration, memory, and provisioned-state details, on the resource rightsizing tab.
    * **S3 Intelligent-Tiering recommendations:** [AWS S3 recommendations](/cost_recommendations#aws-recommendations) now account for lifecycle policies that delete objects before the 30-day minimum storage period, avoiding Intelligent-Tiering recommendations for short-lived objects.
  * **Virtual Tags & Tagging:**
    * **Collapsed tag key fixes:** [Collapsed tags](/tagging#tag-key-collapsing) now apply across the correct provider scope when native and Virtual Tag keys overlap, and Vantage now honors collapsed-tag priority when multiple tag match versions exist.
  * **FinOps Agent & AI:**
    * **Vantage MCP tools:** The [Vantage MCP](/vantage_mcp#vantage-mcp-tools) added new tools and capabilities:
      * **Dashboard tools:** Get, update, and delete Dashboards.
      * **Resource Report tools:** Create, list, retrieve, update, and delete Resource Reports, and list available Resource Report columns.
      * **`date_bin` on `create-cost-report`:** Create Cost Reports with a specific date bin, such as day, week, month, quarter, hour, or cumulative.
      * **Cost Alert tools:** Create, list, retrieve, update, and delete Cost Alerts, and list and retrieve Cost Alert events.
      * **Workspaces tools:** Create, list, retrieve, and update Workspaces.
  * **Account Settings, Audit Logs, & RBAC:**
    * **Canvas and deleted-object Audit Log updates:** [Audit Logs](/audit_logs) now track Canvas create, update, and delete events. Audit Log details also display deleted Cost Reports, Virtual Tags, and Segments as plain text instead of linking to objects that no longer exist.
    * **Dashboard Audit Logs:** [Audit Logs](/audit_logs) now track Dashboard create, update, and delete events, and the [Dashboard](/dashboards) action menu includes a **View Audit Logs** option that links to the audit logs filtered to that dashboard, matching the Cost Report flow.
    * **People page performance:** The People settings page now supports server-side pagination, sorting, and search, improving load times for workspaces with many users. See [RBAC setup](/rbac_setup).
  * **MSP features:**
    * **Billing Rule execution stages:** [Billing Rules](/partners#billing-rules) are now grouped by execution stage, and reordering applies within each stage, making rule priority clearer for MSP billing workflows.
    * **SQL billing rule comments:** [SQL billing rules](/sql_billing_rules) now support leading `--` and `/* */` comments when saving and running custom SQL.
    * **SQL billing rule error messages:** [SQL billing rules](/sql_billing_rules) now show clearer validation errors for unsupported SQL syntax, operators, functions, and invalid values.
    * **Managed Account default report settings:** New MSP Managed Accounts now inherit default Cost Report display settings from the parent account's oldest default report, while keeping their own title and filters.
    * **Partner integration account assignment:** The Partner Integrations page now includes AWS member accounts that do not have mapped display names when assigning integrations to Managed Accounts.

  ## Kubernetes Agent Updates

  * Version 1.3.0, Helm Chart [vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.8.2](https://github.com/vantage-sh/helm-charts/releases/tag/vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.8.2), includes the following updates:
    * Collects GPU product and memory from NVIDIA node labels for more accurate [Kubernetes GPU cost allocation](/kubernetes#kubernetes-gpu-idle-costs).
    * Upgrades the Go runtime to 1.26.4.

  ## API Updates

  * **Canvases:** New Canvas API endpoints are available to list, create, retrieve, update, and delete Canvases: [`GET /canvases`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/canvases/get-all-canvases), [`POST /canvases`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/canvases/create-canvas), [`GET /canvases/{canvas_token}`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/canvases/get-canvas-by-token), [`PUT /canvases/{canvas_token}`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/canvases/update-canvas), and [`DELETE /canvases/{canvas_token}`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/canvases/delete-canvas).
  * **Cost Reports:** [`PUT /cost_reports/{cost_report_token}`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/costs/update-cost-report) no longer resets `chart_type` or `date_bin` when a partial update only changes another field, such as the report filter.
  * **Managed Accounts:** [`PUT /managed_accounts/{managed_account_token}`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/managedaccounts/update-managed-account) now safely handles delegated access credential tokens returned by the API and treats an explicit empty `billing_rule_tokens` array as a request to clear billing rules. The endpoint also accepts `billing_rule_tokens` in their desired execution order and returns them in execution order; tokens must be ordered by execution group, and a list whose cross-group order does not match the pipeline returns a `400`.
  * **Resource Reports:** [`PUT /resource_reports/{resource_report_token}`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/resourcereports/update-resource-report) now treats omitted fields as unchanged during partial updates.

  ## Major Product Updates

  * **FinOps Agent in the Vantage Console:** The [FinOps Agent](/vantage_finops_agent) is now available [in the Vantage console](/vantage_finops_agent#in-the-console) as a dedicated, full-screen agent page for all customers, including users on free trials. Use it to have threaded, persistent conversations about your cloud costs and to create or update Vantage resources—Cost Reports, Dashboards, Virtual Tags, Budgets, and more—directly from chat.
  * **Snowflake Data Sharing:** Query your processed Vantage cost data directly from your Snowflake account via a managed [Secure Data Share](/snowflake_data_sharing). Available to Vantage Enterprise customers—contact [support@vantage.sh](mailto:support@vantage.sh) to enable.
  * **Tag Key Columns in Active Resource Reports:** [Active Resource Reports](/active_resources) now support adding any provider tag key or [Virtual Tag](/tagging) key as a [dedicated column](/active_resources#add-tag-columns), so each resource displays its tag value inline rather than as part of a single grouped tags field.
  * **Simplified Provider Filtering across all providers:** [Cost Reports](/cost_reports#filter-cost-reports) and [Virtual Tags](/tagging) now support filtering across every connected provider in a single filter set—select **All Providers** in the UI or omit `costs.provider` in [VQL](/vql_cost_report#filter-across-all-providers) to query against shared dimensions like Service, Account, Region, Tag, or Resource ID without re-creating per-provider filter logic.

  ## Product Updates and Improvements

  This month, we made a number of improvements and updates to enhance the Vantage experience:

  * **Provider integrations:**
    * **AWS `aws:IamPrincipal` tag:** A new [`aws:IamPrincipal`](/connecting_aws#reporting-dimensions) tag is now available on AWS [Cost Reports](/cost_reports) for accounts using CUR 2.0, allowing you to filter and group costs by the IAM principal (user, role, or assumed-role ARN) that generated the usage.
    * **Azure CSP `azure:OrderDate` tag:** Azure CSP costs now include an [`azure:OrderDate`](/connecting_azure_csp#azure-csp-reporting-dimensions) provider tag when present in the source data, allowing you to filter and group costs by the order date from Microsoft invoice reconciliation data.
    * **MongoDB Atlas project names:** [MongoDB Atlas](/connecting_mongodb-atlas#mongodb-atlas-reporting-dimensions) Cost Reports now use the Atlas project name for account grouping when available, falling back to the project ID only when the name is unavailable.
  * **Cost Reports:**
    * **Cost Report export recipients:** [Cost Report exports](/cost_reports#export-cost-reports) can now be sent to any email address in your organization's verified domain, while still offering existing Vantage users as selectable recipients. The emailed download link still requires signing in to Vantage, so anyone who opens the report must be a Vantage user.
    * **Annotation sidebar scoping:** Clicking an [annotation](/annotations) marker on a Cost Report chart now scopes the annotations sidebar to that day, making it easier to find the annotations tied to a specific point in time.
  * **Dashboards:**
    * **Truncated legend labels:** [Dashboard](/dashboards) widgets with long legend item names now truncate the label and reveal the full value in a hover tooltip, keeping wide legends readable. Long legends with many business metrics also now wrap and scroll cleanly within the widget instead of overflowing.
  * **Cost Recommendations:**
    * **Kubernetes rightsizing peak usage:** [Kubernetes rightsizing recommendations](/cost_recommendations#kubernetes-rightsizing-recommendations) now show a **Highest Peak** value—the single highest CPU and memory usage observed over the lookback period—alongside the existing average figures. The previous **Maximum Usage** row is now labeled **Average Max Memory** to clarify that it reflects the average of each window's maximum rather than the true peak.
  * **Active Resources & Resource Reports:**
    * **Azure NAT Gateway metadata:** Azure NAT Gateway [Active Resources](/active_resources#azure-active-resources) now include additional metadata—subscription name, resource group, virtual network, and associated subnets.
  * **Financial Commitments:**
    * **Account name on commitment expiration emails:** Commitment expiration notification emails now include an **Account** column showing the provider account name for each expiring [commitment](/commitments), making it easier to identify which account a commitment belongs to.
  * **Virtual Tags & Tagging:**
    * **Preferred Tags on Financial Commitment Reports:** [Preferred Tags](/tagging#preferred-tags) are now sorted to the top of filter and group-by menus on [Financial Commitment Reports](/financial_commitment_reports), matching the behavior already available on Cost Reports, Resource Reports, and Cost Recommendations.
    * **Layered virtual tag allocations:** [Cost-based Virtual Tag allocations](/tagging#virtual-tag-allocation-rules) can now aggregate by the key of another allocated Virtual Tag in the same provider allocation chain, so you can build multi-step allocations where one Virtual Tag's output feeds into another (e.g., allocate shared costs to teams, then to each team's projects).
  * **FinOps Agent & AI:**
    * **Vantage MCP tools:** The [Vantage MCP](/vantage_mcp#vantage-mcp-tools) added new tools and capabilities:
      * **Financial Commitment Report tools:** Create, list, retrieve, update, and delete Financial Commitment Reports.
      * **Recommendation View tools:** Create, list, retrieve, update, and delete Recommendation Views.
      * **Business Metric tools:** Read-only tools to list and retrieve [Business Metrics](/per_unit_costs) along with their actual and forecasted values.
      * **Billing Rule tools:** Create, list, retrieve, update, and delete [billing rules](/partners#billing-rules).
      * **`update-cost-report`:** Update an existing [Cost Report](/cost_reports)—including its title, VQL filter, groupings, date range, chart type, folder, and attached business metrics—completing create, read, update, and delete support for Cost Reports.
      * **`min_savings` on `list-recommendations`:** The `list-recommendations` tool accepts an optional `min_savings` argument to return only recommendations with at least the specified monthly savings ([vantage-mcp-server v2.11.0](https://github.com/vantage-sh/vantage-mcp-server/releases/tag/v2.11.0)).
  * **Account Settings, Audit Logs, & RBAC:**
    * **Search AWS member accounts:** The AWS [Integration settings page](/connecting_aws) now supports searching connected member accounts across paginated lists, with the OU/payer tree structure preserved as you filter.
    * **Expanded Audit Log coverage:** More actions now generate [Audit Log](/audit_logs) entries:
      * **Billing rules:** Create, update, and delete actions on [billing rules](/partners#billing-rules) and [custom SQL billing rules](/sql_billing_rules) are now recorded, giving you a history of every change to revenue-impacting rule logic.
      * **API Virtual Tag changes:** Updates to [Virtual Tags](/tagging) made through the API are now recorded even though they are processed asynchronously.

  ## Kubernetes Agent Updates

  * Helm Chart [vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.6.0](https://github.com/vantage-sh/helm-charts/releases/tag/vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.6.0) adds an optional [`agent.allowedLabels`](/kubernetes_agent#enable-collection-of-annotations-and-namespace-labels) parameter that accepts a comma-separated allow list of Kubernetes node labels (up to 10) to collect and send to Vantage. This makes it possible to ingest well-known node labels like `node.kubernetes.io/instance-type` and `kubernetes.io/arch`.
  * Version 1.2.2, Helm Chart [vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.5.1](https://github.com/vantage-sh/helm-charts/releases/tag/vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.5.1), is a security and maintenance release:
    * Upgraded the Go runtime to 1.26.2.
    * Refreshed Kubernetes client libraries and other dependencies so the agent stays compatible with current Kubernetes versions.

  ## API Updates

  * **Enriched resource names in Costs API:** When a cost report includes the `resource` grouping, [`/costs`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/costs/get-costs-for-cost-report-or-vql-filter) responses now include a human-readable `resource_name` field alongside `resource_id`, matching what the Vantage console shows. For example, an Anthropic API key resource that previously returned only its key ID now also returns its friendly key name (e.g., `claude_code_key_engineering`), making programmatic consumers easier to read.
  * **`min_savings` recommendations filter:** The [`/recommendations`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/recommendations/get-all-recommendations) endpoint now accepts a `min_savings` query parameter to return only recommendations with at least the specified monthly savings, and the same filter is now correctly applied on [`/recommendations/by_type/{type}/resources`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/recommendations/get-all-resources-for-a-recommendation-type) (previously accepted but ignored).
  * **Audit log pagination defaults:** The [`/audit_logs`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/auditlogs/get-all-audit-logs) endpoint now returns 100 results by default and accepts up to 5,000 results per page (previously 1,000).
  * **Terraform provider:** The [Vantage Terraform provider](https://registry.terraform.io/providers/vantage-sh/vantage/latest/docs) has been updated:
    * **Business metric plan visibility:** Fixed an issue where `vantage_business_metric` values could appear as `(known after apply)` in update plans, making static value changes visible before applying.
    * **Virtual tag config consistency:** Fixed an issue where `terraform apply` on [`vantage_virtual_tag_config`](https://registry.terraform.io/providers/vantage-sh/vantage/latest/docs/resources/virtual_tag_config) reported `Provider produced inconsistent result after apply` for empty `values[].date_ranges` and `collapsed_tag_keys[].providers` lists. The provider and the underlying `/virtual_tag_configs` API now emit known-empty lists consistently across plan, apply, and refresh.

  ## Major Product Updates

  * **Vantage plugin for Cursor:** Vantage is now available as an official [Cursor Marketplace plugin](https://cursor.com/marketplace/vantage), letting you use the [Vantage MCP](/vantage_mcp) directly in Cursor to query cloud costs and take action on Vantage workflows without leaving the editor.
  * **GitHub integration for FinOps Agent (Private Preview):** The [FinOps Agent](/vantage_finops_agent) now integrates with GitHub to turn Cost Recommendations into actionable GitHub issues. When Vantage detects a new recommendation, the Agent scans your connected repositories, identifies the relevant infrastructure code, and opens an issue with the file path, current configuration, recommended change, and estimated savings.   * **CircleCI integration:** Vantage now integrates with [CircleCI](/connecting_circle_ci) to ingest cost and usage data for your CircleCI organizations. Connect with a personal API token to view costs broken down by project, resource class, and compute type, with up to six months of historical data imported on initial setup.
  * **Editable VQL in filters:** [Report filters](/cost_reports#edit-filters-as-vql) and [Saved Filters](/saved_filters) now support direct VQL editing. Click **View as VQL** from the Filters menu to see the current filter as a [VQL](/vql) query, then click **Edit VQL** to make adjustments.
  * **Collapsed tag value prefixes:** [Collapsed tags](/tagging#collapsed-tags) now support an optional string prefix, so every collapsed value can include a descriptive label (e.g., adding a `team:` prefix produces values like `team: engineering`, `team: marketing`), making grouped tag values easier to identify in filters, Cost Reports, and dashboards.
  * **Explore bar:** A new global Explore bar is available across the Vantage console. Press `Cmd+K` (Mac) or `Ctrl+K` (Windows) to quickly search and navigate to any Cost Report, dashboard, Saved Filter, Segment, or settings page without leaving your current view.
  * **Extended Support Recommendations for OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, and ElastiCache:** [Cost Recommendations](/cost_recommendations) now identify Amazon OpenSearch and Elasticsearch domains, and ElastiCache for Redis clusters, that are currently incurring or approaching [extended support](/cost_recommendations#extended-support) costs.

  * **Provider integrations:**
    * **AWS `aws:LegalEntity` tag:** A new [`aws:LegalEntity`](/connecting_aws#reporting-dimensions) tag is now available on AWS Cost Reports, allowing you to filter and group costs by the legal entity associated with each line item.
    * **GCP Project ID tag:** A new [`gcp:project_id`](/connecting_gcp#reporting-dimensions) provider tag is now available on GCP Cost Reports, allowing you to filter and group costs by the project ID associated with each line item.
    * **Custom Provider amortization date handling:** [Custom Provider](/connecting_custom_providers#data-format) CSV uploads now treat `ChargePeriodEnd` as an exclusive end date for amortized costs, matching the FOCUS specification and preventing single-day rows from being amortized across an extra day.
  * **Cost Reports:**
    * **Add to Dashboard shortcut:** The [Cost Report](/cost_reports) ellipsis menu now includes an **Add to Dashboard** option, letting you navigate directly to [Dashboards](/dashboards) to add the current report as a widget.
    * **Kubernetes Efficiency Report regions:** [Kubernetes Efficiency Reports](/kubernetes#create-efficiency-reports) now support filtering and grouping by **Region**, making it easier to analyze idle and total Kubernetes costs by cloud region.
    * **Budget Performance in report notifications:** [Cost Report notifications](/report_notifications#set-up-cost-report-notifications) now include a **Budget Performance** section when the report has linked budgets, helping recipients compare actual spend against budget targets directly from scheduled email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams updates.
  * **Cost Recommendations:**
    * **Potential Savings currency conversion:** [Cost Recommendations](/cost_recommendations) Potential Savings amounts on Resource Reports and rightsizing views now correctly display in your workspace's configured [currency](/vantage_account#currency-conversion).
    * **Idle GKE cluster recommendations:** Vantage now surfaces idle [Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)](/cost_recommendations#gcp-recommendations) cluster recommendations, identifying clusters with little or no workload activity so you can scale them down or delete them. A new **Idle GKE Cluster** tab is available on affected GKE cluster resources with the recommended remediation.
  * **Active Resources & Resource Reports:**
    * **ELB instance metadata:** [ELB Active Resources](/active_resources#aws-active-resources) now display registered EC2 instance metadata, including target group details, making it easier to understand which instances are behind each load balancer.
    * **Active Resources chart and Cost Report link:** The [Active Resources](/active_resources) detail page now defaults to a stacked bar chart grouped by service and category, and includes a **View in Cost Report** button that links directly to the default Cost Report filtered by the resource.
    * **Resource Report folders:** [Resource Reports](/active_resources) can now be organized into folders, with support for bulk move operations and search across folders—matching the same folder experience already available for Cost Reports.
    * **S3 Last Accessed Date:** [S3 Active Resources](/active_resources#aws-active-resources) now include a **Last Accessed Date** metadata field, derived from S3 request activity in your billing data, making it easier to identify unused or infrequently accessed buckets.
  * **Virtual Tags & Tagging:**
    * **Preferred virtual tags:** You can now mark [Virtual Tags](/tagging#preferred-tags) as preferred directly from the **Virtual Tags** tab on the Tags settings page, in addition to the existing **All Tags** tab workflow.
  * **FinOps Agent & AI:**
    * **New Vantage MCP budget tools:** Three new budget management tools have been added to the Vantage MCP: `get-budget`, `update-budget`, and `delete-budget`, giving you full CRUD control over [Budgets](/budgets) from any MCP client. See the [Vantage MCP Tools](/vantage_mcp#vantage-mcp-tools) section for details.

  ## Kubernetes Agent Updates

  * Version 1.2.1, Helm Chart [vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.4.1](https://github.com/vantage-sh/helm-charts/releases/tag/vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.4.1), is a security and maintenance release:
    * Upgraded Go runtime to 1.26.1, addressing a crypto/TLS session resumption vulnerability (CVE-2025-68121).
    * Updated `golang.org/x/net` dependency to v0.38.0 for additional security fixes.
    * Added security hardening for tar extraction and HTTP server configurations.
  * Helm Chart [vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.5.0](https://github.com/vantage-sh/helm-charts/releases/tag/vantage-kubernetes-agent-1.5.0) adds optional [`agent.extraEnv`](/kubernetes_agent#data-persistence) configuration for passing additional environment variables to the agent container. This enables AWS S3 persistence on non-EKS clusters, such as GKE clusters using AWS IAM OIDC federation.

  ## API Updates

  * **Business Metric value deletion:** A new [`DELETE /business_metrics/{token}/values`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/businessmetrics/delete-business-metric-values) endpoint deletes historical or forecasted Business Metric values by date range and optional label, returning the number of rows removed.
  * **Pagination for recommendation resources:** The [`GET /recommendations/{token}/resources`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/recommendations/get-all-resources-for-a-recommendation) endpoint now paginates results with a default page size of 25 and a maximum of 500 (via a new `limit` query parameter), preventing timeouts on recommendations with large resource sets.
  * **Virtual tag config label transforms:** The [`/virtual_tag_configs`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/virtualtags/create-virtual-tag-config) create and update endpoints now support an optional `label_transforms` array on business metric values. Label transforms let you extract or reformat the label before it becomes the tag value—for example, using `{"type": "split", "delimiter": ":", "index": 1}` to extract the second segment of a colon-delimited label like `env:production` into the value `production`.

  * **FOCUS 1.2/1.3 column support:** [Custom Provider](/connecting_custom_providers#finops-focus-schema) CSV uploads now accept additional FOCUS 1.2/1.3 columns—such as `AvailabilityZone`, `CommitmentDiscountId`, `EffectiveCost`, `ListCost`, `Provider`, and `Publisher`—without requiring you to remove them before uploading.

  ## Product Updates and Improvements

  This month, we made several improvements and updates to enhance the Vantage experience:

  * **Provider integrations:**
    * **Twilio usage categories:** Updated [Twilio](/connecting_twilio) integration to expand SKU coverage.
    * **New GCP tags:** Two new [GCP provider tags](/connecting_gcp#reporting-dimensions) are now available on Cost Reports—`gcp:invoice_month` for filtering and grouping costs by invoice month, and `gcp:sku` for filtering and grouping costs by SKU ID.
    * **AWS `aws:physicalProcessor` tag:** A new [`aws:physicalProcessor`](/connecting_aws#reporting-dimensions) tag is now available on AWS Cost Reports, allowing you to filter and group costs by physical processor type.
    * **Custom provider setup without CSV:** You can now create a [Custom Provider](/connecting_custom_providers) integration without uploading a CSV file during initial setup, allowing you to configure the provider first and add cost data later via CSV or the API.
    * **GCP credit reclassification:** GCP `FEE_UTILIZATION_OFFSET` and `SUBSCRIPTION_BENEFIT` charge types are now classified as credits rather than usage. These values, such as CUD fee utilization offsets and subscription benefits, are now controlled by the credits/discounts toggles in [Cost Report settings](/cost_reports#credits-discounts-refunds-and-taxes) rather than always being included in usage totals.
  * **Cost Reports:**
    * **Usage Unit export grouping:** The [data export](/cost_reports#export-cost-reports) form now includes a **Usage Unit** grouping option, which adds a column for the unit of measure (e.g., `GB-Mo`, `Hrs`) in CSV exports. This grouping is automatically selected when the report is in [usage view](/usage_based_reporting).
    * **Forecast confidence bounds:** The monthly cost view on [Cost Reports](/cost_reports#forecasts-tab) now displays min, median, and max forecast values, giving you a range of expected spend alongside the primary forecast line.
    * **Include Current Month toggle:** A new **Include Current Month** toggle is available in the [Cost Report](/cost_reports) datepicker for month- and week-based date ranges. By default, the toggle is on and date ranges include the current partial period, for example, "Last 3 Months" on March 24 shows January 1 through March 24. Turn the toggle off to constrain the range to only complete periods, "Last 3 Months" then shows December 1 through February 28. The toggle label adjusts to **Include Current Week** for week-based intervals and is hidden for day-based ranges.
    * **Save as Default:** Users with the [Organization Owner](/rbac#understanding-rbac-roles) role can now save the current chart type, date range, and cost settings as the default view for the **All Resources** Cost Report using the new [**Save as Default**](/cost_reports#save-as-default) option in the split save button. The option is enabled after changing at least one setting from the current default.
    * **Filter input enter-key behavior:** Typing a value in [Cost Report filter](/cost_reports#filter-cost-reports) dropdowns and pressing **Enter** now consistently adds the typed value as a filter selection across all filter types, including when the dropdown has no matching results.
  * **Dashboards:**
    * **Cost change indicators on widgets:** [Dashboard](/dashboards) widgets now display dollar and percentage cost changes compared to the previous period, giving you an at-a-glance view of spending trends directly on the dashboard.
    * **Dashboard saved filter RBAC:** [Saved filter](/cost_reports#saved-filters) permissions are now enforced on [dashboards](/dashboards), ensuring that users can only view dashboard widgets scoped to saved filters they have access to.

    * **Commitment ARN grouping:** [Financial Commitment Reports](/financial_commitment_reports) now support grouping by **Commitment ARN**, so you can break down costs by individual Savings Plan or Reserved Instance.

  * **FinOps Agent & AI:**
    * **New Vantage MCP tools:** Several new tools have been added to the Vantage MCP, including folder management (`create-folder`, `list-folders`, `update-folder`, `delete-folder`), cost alerts (`create-cost-alert`, `get-cost-alert`, `list-cost-alerts`), and cost report management (`delete-cost-report`). Archived Autopilot recommendations are moved to the **Archived** tab and excluded from savings potential calculations, making it easier to manage which recommendations you want to track.     * **EKS extended support recommendations:** EKS upgrade recommendations now only suggest versions that have at least 90 days of standard support remaining, preventing recommendations for versions that are about to enter extended support.     * **Improved icons for allocated and collapsed tags:** The [Tags settings page](/tagging#tag-management-provider-and-virtual-tags) now displays improved visual indicators for virtual tags. Tags with cost allocations display an "Allocated" badge, and tags with collapsed tag keys display a "Collapsed" badge. These badges appear next to the tag name, making it easier to identify tags with these properties at a glance.

    * **FinOps Agent onboarding channel guidance:** When no Slack channels are available during [FinOps Agent onboarding](/vantage_finops_agent#enable-the-finops-agent), Vantage now displays a helpful message indicating that the @Vantage app must be invited to a Slack channel before it will appear in the channel selection list. This provides clearer guidance during the onboarding process.

Previously, saved filters associated with a deleted report were not included in the audit log entry, but they are now correctly captured to provide complete visibility into report deletion events.
    * **Enter Workspace button on workspace settings:** An **Enter Workspace** button has been added to the top right of the [workspace settings page](/workspaces#manage-workspaces), making it easier to switch between workspaces.
    * **Workspace integration redirect improvement:** When accessing a workspace with no integrations assigned, but integrations exist at the account level, Vantage now redirects to the [integration settings page](/vantage_account#configure-integrations) with a helpful notice message. This provides clearer guidance when managing integrations across multiple [workspaces](/workspaces#manage-workspace-provider-integrations).
  * **MSP features:**
    * **MSP invoicing account name links:** Account names in the [MSP invoicing](/msp_invoicing) invoices table are now clickable links that navigate directly to the managed account profile page, making it easier to access account details when reviewing invoices.
    * **MSP invoice Error status filter:** The invoice status filter dropdown now includes an **Error** status option, allowing you to filter invoices that encountered errors during generation.     * **New object type filter:** You can now filter audit logs by `recommendation_commitment` object type to view audit logs for Autopilot commitment recommendations.
    * **FinOps Agent source filter:** The `source` parameter now supports `finops_agent` as a filter option, allowing you to filter audit logs by actions taken by the FinOps Agent. The endpoint continues to support filtering by `console` and `api` sources.
  * **Business Metrics API forecasted values support:** The [`/business_metrics`](https://docs.vantage.sh/api/businessmetrics/get-all-business-metrics) endpoint now supports `forecasted_values` in POST and PUT requests, allowing you to create and update forecasted business metric values via the API.     * **Report notification previous period fix:** A fix was made to ensure that when the previous period comparison is disabled on a [Cost Report](/cost_reports#create-a-cost-report), report notifications no longer display an empty previous period total. The previous period total is now only shown in notifications when the previous period comparison is enabled on the report.
    * **Previous period data alignment fix:** A fix was made to ensure that previous period data is correctly aligned on [Cost Reports](/cost_reports#create-a-cost-report) when using monthly or quarterly date binning, preventing misalignment of previous period comparison data points on the chart.
    * **Cost Report usage display fix:** A fix was made to ensure [Cost Reports](/cost_reports) correctly identify and display usage-based units when configured to show usage instead of cost.

    * **EBS volume virtual tags display fix:** A fix was made to ensure that [virtual tags](/tagging#virtual-tags) are properly displayed in the **Assigned Tags** section when viewing EBS volumes on [Active Resource](/active_resources) pages.

    * **Audit Log updates:** [Audit Logs](/audit_logs) now support service tokens (Team tokens).   ## Kubernetes Agent Updates

  Added a configurable setting for [`PodDisruptionBudget`](https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/run-application/configure-pdb/) in the Kubernetes agent [Helm chart](https://github.com/vantage-sh/helm-charts) to define how many agent pods can be disrupted. Uses `maxUnavailable` to set the number of pods that may be voluntarily taken down, or `minAvailable` to ensure a minimum number of pods always remain running.

  ## API Updates

  * **`/billing_profiles` endpoint:** The `/billing_profiles` [endpoint](/api) now supports invoice adjustments for MSP invoicing. You can include an `invoice_adjustment_attributes` object when creating or updating billing profiles to configure taxes, fees, and other adjustments. Adjustment items support the following fields: `name` (name of the adjustment), `adjustment_type` (`charge`, `credit`, or `discount`), `calculation_type` (`fixed` or `percentage`), and `amount` (amount or percentage value). Invoice adjustment data is now included in billing profile responses.
  * **`/integrations` endpoint:** The `/integrations` [endpoint](/api) now returns more granular integration status values. The `status` field can now be one of: `connected`, `error`, `pending`, `importing`, `imported`, or `disconnected` (previously only `connected` or `disconnected`). A new `last_updated` field has been added to integration responses, showing the ISO 8601 timestamp of when the integration was last updated.
  * **`/cost_alerts` endpoint:** The `/cost_alerts` [endpoint](/api) now requires report tokens when creating or updating cost alerts. Previously, report tokens were optional, which could cause alerts to be created without associated reports.

  * **FOCUS-compatible exports**: You can now [export](/cost_reports#export-cost-reports) your cloud cost and usage data in the FinOps Foundation’s open-source FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification ([FOCUS](https://focus.finops.org/)) format.

  * **Datadog hosts costs:** For cloud resources that have the Datadog agent installed, Vantage [can associate](/active_resources#datadog-host-costs) Datadog per-host fees along with the primary cloud resources from AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud that drive those costs.
